Academic Support Activities
Methodology
Lectures, seminars, workshops, case studies, project formulations, presentations, exhibitions, short training programs and internships are the means used by the faculty for disseminating knowledge and learning to the students. Students are also engaged in inter-active / focus group discussions so as to inculcate in them confidence and speaking talents.

Physical Infrastructure
Wide range of facilities such as building infrastructure , administrative block, cafeteria, spacious lush green lawns, well-equipped computer labs/library have been added to the Institute.

Counseling and Guidance Services
Counseling and Guidance Services for underachievers have also been planned and the services of professionals specialized in the field have been made available for the purpose. Besides, services relating to career planning and development have also been made available under the supervision and guidance of a specialist.

Institute Newsletter
SIMS brings out a newsletter in each semester which contains news and updates of the Institute. The students writing skills are also discovered and polished through brief articles for publication in the Newsletter. This newsletter is not only made available for current students but we also mail them to alumni.

Computer Lab
The Computer Lab is equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and software equipment, and is networked on a Local Area Network (LAN) running Windows-2003 Servers & Windows XP Clients. The workstations in the lab are latest Pentium-IV & Dual Core Processor machines with 512 MB RAM 80 GB hard-drives enabling them to run computer applications.
The high Internet facility is provided through the DSL Service Providers to guarantee full access to the students at all times. Other facilities such as laser printers, Color Printers, and CD Writers are also part of this lab.

Library
The Institute has a well furnished and air conditioned library with an extensive collection of reference books, dictionaries, encyclopedias, as well as books on various disciplines such as Economics, Marketing, Management, Computer Science, Business studies, Accounting, Finance, Research Methodologies, Business Law, Islamic Studies and many more. The library subscribes to professional magazines like Economist, Newsweek, and Fortune. A separate section houses theses and research papers of significance for the guidance of the students.

Cafeteria
The students not only need food for thought but also food for stomach. A cafeteria ensuring provision of hygienic food /eatables and soft drinks on subsidized rates is available in Institute premises.

Sports
Sports week is organized in every semester to promote extra curricular activities. Students are encouraged to participate in a number of events such as table tennis, badminton, cricket, races and many board games. A Sports Committee is organized under the supervision of Manager Student Affairs tailoring to all the needs and demands of sport activities.

Study Tour
Traveling has always been source of learning. We therefore, arrange tours for our students as part of their off-campus learning. In these tours, students can see how different management and other techniques are applied in various organizations. Recently students visited US Apparel Textiles for understanding their management structure, and their processes.
